Importance of Truthfulness in public life

When we talk about truthfulness, mind strikes with image of Father of the Nation, Shri Mahatma Gandhi (Bapu). Whether it is public or private life, purity is the highest norm for having a successful life. Purity leads to truthfulness. Only truthfulness can bring purity in life. Success and peace pervade in life and neighbourhood when there is harmony in thoughts, words and action. Truthfulness is a great tool to ensure this harmony. 

Truthfulness should be followed by heart and soul. Then we have peace of mind. Peace of mind ascertains wholehearted efforts and results in success. Truthfulness creates trust with authorities and subordinates. Trust can fill the gaps that may lead to failure of a concerted effort.

Truthfulness can create sympathy even if a person has committed any blunder. A truthful person is generally trustworthy. A trustworthy person gets support and cooperation from all the related person. A truthful person may fall in several types of danger also. Now-a-days, corruption and untruthfulness have filled different arenas of life so much that a truthful person feels dejected many a times. Wrong people try to create obstacles in the way of a truthful person.  Struggle becomes stiff sometimes. However everyone must remember, "Satyameva Jayate".

We must always tread the path of truthfulness and lead a pure and purposeful life.
